Crisis-ridden Zifa meets

ZIFA, still reeling from the shock of not participating in the 2018 Fifa World Cup draw in St Petersburg this evening, will hold a joint annual general meeting and extraordinary general meeting at the Zifa Village in Mt Hampden, Harare this morning.

Zimbabwe has been excluded from the World Cup for failing to settle an $81 000 debt owed to former coach Jose Valinhos and also risk losing $300 000 that is due to all participating teams, unless they can justify to Fifa, on the intended use of the once off-payment.

Zimbabwe also failed to send the senior women’s football team to Ivory Coast last week after failing to raise $34 000 for airfares.
