Council reassigns Brewery workers

At least 50 employees of former Kwekwe Municipality’s collapsed beer brewer Simba Breweries and its marketing arm, Dandaro Marketing, have been transferred to various departments within the local authority following an August 6 council resolution.

Simba Breweries shut down its operations last year following the collapse of a private-public-partnership between council and Limsol Trading, resulting in the 50 workers being rendered jobless.
