Corrupt MDC-T MPs face disqualification
NewsDay Staff ·
MDC-T says sitting MPs with criminal records and those accused of abusing Constituency Development Fund (CDF) allocations face automatic disqualification from contesting the party’s primary elections.

MDC-T spokesperson Douglas Mwonzora told NewsDay yesterday the party’s candidate selection process would be rigorous to avoid criminal elements being endorsed as party candidates, while avoiding incidents of unfair disqualification of candidates.
“On average, the MDC-T MPs used their CDF allocations well and we have no major problems with dealing with MPs who might have abused it,” Mwonzora said.
