City of Harare rolls out ERP system 

Harare City Council (HCC) has introduced online payments in a development that is set to improve revenue collections, a challenge that has faced several local authorities.

The City of Harare has gone fully fiscalised following the rollout of its new Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, Business Intelligence and Quality (BIQ), in a development expected to improve revenue collection and make it easier for residents to pay for municipal services.

The new system has brought the council into compliance with Zimbabwe Revenue Authority (Zimra) fiscalisation requirements while also enabling online payments as the local authority moves to modernise its financial operations.
