Chivero convicts apply for bail
NewsDay Staff ·

Two men jailed over the death of 11 children at Lake Chivero on Christmas Day last year yesterday applied for bail pending their appeal against both conviction and sentence.
The convicts, Joseph Abrahams and Fadil Ramon, were represented by Harare lawyer Hamios Mukonoweshuro, who appeared before provincial magistrate Tendai Mahwe for the bail application.
Ramon and Abrahams were jailed alongside Enock Yolani Zulu, who was not represented throughout the trial and is not appealing against the court’s findings.
