Chipinge Zanu PF treasurer up for beating MDC councillor

ZANU PF treasurer for Ward 17 in Chipinge has been arraigned before the courts for allegedly assaulting an MDC Alliance councillor over distribution of presidential inputs.
Lizzie Jumburu (48) of Kondo village under Chief Musikavanhu pleaded not guilty to assault when she appeared on Wednesday before Chipinge magistrate Joshua Nembaware, who remanded her to yesterday for trial.
In her defence, Jumburu denied ever assaulting the complainant, Ethel Taungana, councillor for ward 17 by throttling her.
