Chipawo stages plays countrywide

The Children’s Performing Arts Workshop (Chipawo) will stage a number of plays in its centres across the country as part of Word Day of Theatre for Children and Young People celebrations
In Harare, the plays will be staged at the Zimbabwe College of Music tomorrow.

“For a change 20 Chipawo centres will be presenting plays some of which are commissioned plays which were done specifically for certain companies and corporates thus the concert has been named the Chipawo Play Day,” said Chipawo programmes officer Deon Picardo.

Picardo said on the day a few dances would be displayed and this would be to enhance the acting and theatre skills of the children.
