Chief files charges against journalist

POLICE in Masvingo are investigating allegations levelled against NewsDay journalist Ropafadzo Mapimhidze by a Zaka chief Rangarirai Nhema, who claims she threatened him with unspecified action if he continued to harass MDC supporters in his area.

Mapimhidze’s lawyer Martin Mureri said Nhema claimed that the NewsDay Features and Supplements Editor made threatening telephone calls to him.
