Chevrons give Namibia a lifeline

ZIMBABWE left Namibia off the hook with the hosts registering a seven-wicket win in the penultimate T20I in Windhoek to set up a winners take-all finale on Tuesday.

The Chevrons, starring with a series win in yesterday’s match, blew away the opportunity when they set a below par score, 153/6 in their 20 overs.

Zimbabwe captain Craig Ervine led from the front with an unbeaten 54 runs off 43 balls but it was no enough to see the team through to  a defendable target given that man-of-the-moment, Sikandar Raza with two back-to-back half centuries switched off and was sent back to the pavilion for just two runs.
