Chamisa moves to stop by-elections
NewsDay Staff ·

THE opposition Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) party is lobbying for regional and international parliamentary bodies to intervene and stop by-elections slated for December 7.
The by-elections are being held to fill posts that fell vacant following the recall of 15 MPs and 17 councillors belonging to Chamisa’s party.
CCC self-proclaimed interim secretary-general Sengezo Tshabangu initiated the recalls claiming that the targeted members had ceased to belong to the opposition party.
