CCC councillor ditches party

A DISGRUNTLED Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) councillor has quit the party to contest in an upcoming parliamentary by-election in his neighbouring constituency as an independent candidate.

Ward 15 councillor in Filabusi district, Leslie Dube, said he was tired of Zanu PF’s dominance in Insiza North, where a by-election is scheduled for June 14.

Dube said he was resigning from the opposition party with immediate effect in a letter dated May 14 addressed to acting CCC president Welshman Ncube.
