Bulawayo councillors divided over ward retention fund

BULAWAYO councillors are divided following heated debate over the future of the ward retention facility. Some called for its cancellation due to implementation delays, while others demanded speedy delivery.

The debate followed the presentation of a third-quarter report on the facility to the general purposes committee, in line with the ward retention policy approved by council on December 3, 2025.
