Brainworks deals still not clear

THE indigenisation dealings under former Youth minister Saviour Kasukuwere once again came under the microscope when three companies appeared before a Parliamentary committee yesterday.

Unki, Blanket Mine and Zimplats appeared before the Parliamentary Portfolio Committee on Youth and Indigenisation where they differed on the understanding of their relationship with the company at the centre of controversy, Brainworks Capital.

Zimplats legal secretary Garikai Vera said his company met Brainworks during meetings with the National Indigenisation and Economic Empowerment Board (Nieeb).
