BCC workers appeal to Govt

Striking Bulawayo City employees yesterday called on the government to intervene and force their employer to pay outstanding salaries.

Workers’ representatives said they referred the matter to the Ministry of Labour and Social Services yesterday after they reached a deadlock.

The workers have been on strike since Monday demanding payment of their outstanding salaries for the past three months.
