Bantu suspend coach Ngodzo

Fortune Mbele ·

BANTU Rovers head coach, Johannes Ngodzo has been sent on an indefinite leave after he went absent without official leave (Awol) a week after helping the club win their first Zifa Southern Region Division One championship.

Club general manager, Wilbert Sibanda yesterday confirmed that Ngodzo had been sent on forced leave, while in an unrelated incident, manager, Wonder Mpofu and three senior players, Zephania Ngodzo, Lindelani Ncube and Lineance Mpofu had been suspended indefinitely for disturbances that rocked the Bantu Rovers training camp last Friday.

Although Sibanda could not be drawn to give the reason behind the manager and the three players’ suspension, sources said they allegedly incited other players to revolt, demanding promotional bonuses.
