Avoid excessive force, municipal police told

HARARE City Council municipal police have been urged to use force only when necessary, to prevent lawsuits, a senior municipal officer has said.

Acting Harare chief security officer Andrew Manyere made the remarks while addressing officers at the Harare Metropolitan Police Subsection Two (Mbare Section) during their annual master parade at Rufaro Stadium yesterday.

The event was attended by head safety manager Obey Law Moyo, principal operations manager Maxwell Mavhunda, acting superintendent Tawanda Manhando and Markets manager Collen Tongoona.
