AU ignores Zim
NewsDay Staff ·

Addis Ababa – The African Union (AU) looks set to leave the resolution of the Zimbabwe crisis in the hands of Sadc, which is the guarantor of the Global Political Agreement, after it emerged this week that Harare would not be discussed at the weekend summit.
The AU Peace and Security Council revealed that although Zimbabwe had not been of concern to the AU for quite some time, it was worried about the army’s involvement in politics.
However, the country was unlikely to be on the summit agenda starting on Sunday.
