Asiagate: 30 players cleared

At least 30 players fingered in the Asiagate match-fixing scandal have been exonerated, the Zifa Independent Ethics Committee tasked to investigate the allegations, has revealed.

Chairman of the committee Justice Ahmed Ebrahim told journalists at a press conference in the capital yesterday that the list of the cleared players will be announced this week.

From our preliminary investigations, there are some players who have been proved innocent.
