Armed robbers pounce on Chiyangwa’s farm

NewsDay Staff ·

CHINHOYI — Three unidentified men brandishing iron bars allegedly pounced on Old Citrus Farm, owned by businessman-cum-politician Phillip Chiyangwa, and got away with goods worth over $2 000 last Thursday.

Mashonaland West provincial police spokesperson Inspector Clemence Mabgweazara confirmed the incident yesterday, saying the robbery occurred at a house belonging to Chiyangwa’s farm manager, Justin Tendai Nyamasve.

Mabgweazara said the suspects broke Nyamaswe’s kitchen window at around 3am and hooked the keys from outside before unlocking the door while the family was asleep.
