AAG blasts BCC for over-pricing repossessed stands

THE Affirmative Action Group (AAG) has hit out at the Bulawayo City Council (BCC) for over-pricing repossessed stands beyond the reach of many, some of whom have been on the housing waiting list for several years.
The BCC last week issued a notice to sell housing stands it repossessed after the owners failed to develop them within the stipulated timeframe as guided by the Titles Registration and Derelict Lands Act.
Under the Act, council is empowered to repossess and sell undeveloped housing stands.
