3 kids murdered in South Africa daily

CAPE TOWN — The South African Medical Research Council (MRC) yesterday estimated that three children are murdered in that country on a daily basis.

A study released this week shows that just over 1 000 children were killed in 2009 alone.
Nearly half of the murders were a result of child abuse.
