3 expelled Zanu PF activists seek relaxation of bail conditions

Paidamoyo Muzulu ·

THE three expelled Zanu PF youth chairpersons yesterday gave notice to file for relaxation of their bail conditions after the State failed, for the umpteenth time, to come up with a trial date in a case where they are charged with allegedly inciting public violence.

Godfrey Tsenengamu (Mashonaland Central), Godwin Gomwe (Harare) and Vengai Musengi (Mashonaland West) were further remanded to May 5 after the State indicated that police were still investigating the matter.

Prosecutor Sebastian Mutizirwa told the court the investigating officer was yet to record a statement from State witness, Kudzayi Chipanga, who is Zanu PF MP for Makoni West and national deputy youth secretary.
