2015 Gross Premium Written soars to $332m

GROSS Premium Written (GPW) for life assurers last year increased by 11% to $332 million from $299,6 million in 2014.

GPW is the total premium written by an insurer before deductions for reinsurance and ceding commission.

The Insurance Pensions Commission (IPEC) report for 2015 showed that Net Premium Written of $326,6 million was recorded in 2015 with the bulk of it attributable to Old Mutual, Nyaradzo and FML.
