PREMIER Soccer League debutants Scottland yesterday confirmed the appointment of Tonderai Ndiraya as their new head coach.

Ndiraya is joining the club from Simba Bhora where he helped the club survive relegation in their maiden season two years ago before leading them to the league title last year.

The announcement did not reveal details of the contract, but sources told NewsDaySport that the former Dynamos gaffer has been given an immediate mandate of winning the title by the well-resourced team owned by businessman Pedzai "Scott" Sakupwanya.

The ambitious team, which secured a US$2,5 million sponsorship for the 2025 campaign from two main sponsors, Sakunda Holdings and Wicknell Chivayo's IMC Communications, has made clear its intention of winning the upcoming season.

They have raided the market to assemble the local cream de la creme of the league.

Scottland last week announced the capture of Warriors talisman Khama Billiat who is joining from Yadah where he had a fruitful season last year.
