WARRIORS’ striker Prince Dube netted a hat-trick for his Tanzanian side Young Africans as they defeated Mashujaa 3-2 in a league match on Thursday.

The former Highlanders forward found the net as early as the seventh minute after he was sent through by Pacome Zouzoua.

He did not wait for long as he got his second in the 21st minute from a Clement Mzize assist.

It did not end there for Dube, whose form will definitely impress Warriors coach Michael Nees, ahead of the 2026 Fifa World Cup qualifiers in March.

He completed his hat-trick in the 52nd minute at the end of a Kibwana Shomari pass.

Coach Sead Ramovic was impressed by the heroics.

Last Saturday, the Warriors’ striker was on target in the 1-1 draw with DR Congo giants TP Mazembe to keep Young Africans dream of qualifying for the lucrative stages of the Caf Champions League alive.

It’s a hectic period for Dube’s Young Africans, who are scheduled to host TP Mazembe in the return leg of the Champions League two days after New Year’s Day.

Dube joined Yanga this season from Azam, a club that he joined from Highlanders.

He has scored three goals in the Premier League so far this season, with the leading scorer Kenyan Elvis Rupia on seven goals.
