CIMAS Health Group have scheduled the 2024 Cimas iGo half-marathon, with the Harare event set to take place on Sunday and the Bulawayo one on November 24.

The prestigious event aims to raise vital awareness about men’s health, focusing on prostate and testicular cancer.

Running under the theme Men’s Health Champions Build Healthier Communities, the marathon encourages participants to champion men’s health and foster a culture of wellness.

Cimas Health chief executive officer Vuli Ndlovu expressed pride at hosting the event.

“We’re proud to host the Cimas iGo half-marathon to raise awareness about prostate cancer and other men’s health concerns,” he said.

The event features three races: 21km, 10km and 5km, kicking off at 5:30am, 6am and 6:30am.

Registration is open online through Cimas platforms for US$15, including a race pack.

Last year’s event saw 1 422 athletes participate, raising US$13 753 for the Cancer Association of Zimbabwe.

This year’s edition promises to surpass records, with proceeds going to be donated to the Cancer Association of Zimbabwe.

The Cimas iGo wellness programme offers holistic initiatives, including health screenings and fitness events.

Stressed Ndlovu: “Men face health issues like prostate cancer, testicular cancer and mental health challenges. We encourage men to prioritise health through regular check-ups.”
