SIMBA Bhora could seal their first Castle Lager Premier Soccer League title today if they win against relegated Arenel Movers and FC Platinum fail to pick maximum points against Bulawayo Chiefs.
The Tonderai Ndiraya-coached side are on the brink of claiming the big piece of silverware with 63 points in the bag, while second-placed FC Platinum are on 54 points with three matches left in the season.
FC Platinum faltered at the weekend when they lost to Dynamos at Rufaro Stadium after Simba Bhora, the log leaders, collected maximum points against Caps United at their Wadzanayi Stadium fortress a day earlier.
Bulawayo Chiefs are not safe and will be fighting to collect maximum points and move themselves closer to safety.
Ndiraya posted that his team are “closer” after weekend results and they would want to complete the job sooner rather than later.
But Norman Mapeza’s side will fight for the maximum points against Chiefs, praying Simba Bhora lose and the fight continues.

Ngezi Platinum Stars, still with a game in hand against Dynamos, are third on the log with 47 points and they also take their fight to Bulawayo today, where they clash with Chicken Inn at Barbourfields Stadium. They will play the rescheduled tie against DeMbare on November 16 at Baobab.
Highlanders are fourth, also with 47 points after drubbing Green Fuel 4-0 at BF on Sunday.
They are off to Mutare, where they clash with Bikita Minerals at Sakubva Stadium today, while Manica Diamonds are also at Sakubva tomorrow against Yadah.
The Gems Boys have 47 points.
After the home win against FC Platinum, Dynamos make the long trip to Nyamhunga Stadium, where they face hosts ZPC Kariba today, while Caps United will be enjoying home comforts at Rufaro Stadium when they take on TelOne tomorrow.
Dynamos and Caps United are on 44 and 42 points, respectively.
It’s not looking good for Chegutu Pirates, Hwange and Bikita Minerals in the top league.
Pirates and Bikita Minerals could be kissing the league good bye after a one season’s stay, just like Arenel Movers.
Pirates are away to Herentals at Rufaro today, whereas Hwange travel over 800km to Chisumbanje to face Green Fuel.
The relegation battle involves no less than seven teams, where only three will survive.
