HARARE giants CAPS United continued with their resurgence after recording a crucial away win against ZPC Kariba at Nyamhunga Stadium yesterday.
Substitute Ralph Kawondera netted the solitary goal five minutes from full time, making the most of a Godknows Murwira cross.
Lloyd Chitembwe’s men managed to build on a big win over FC Platinum last week to record their second win on the trot.
Before the FC Platinum clash, Makepekepe had gone for five matches without a win and were slowly being sucked into the relegation battle but the two wins have lifted them into eighth place with 30 points from 23 matches.
However, the Green Machine remains 15 points off the leaders FC Platinum with 11 matches left before the end of the league season.
With the Chibuku Cup matches being played next weekend, CAPS will host Manica Diamonds when the league matches resume in two weeks’ time.

At Luveve Stadium, Bulawayo Chiefs pulled off an important 1 – 0 win over debutants Bikita Minerals courtesy of a late first half goal by Reason Sibanda.
The win ended Chiefs’ run of four matches without a win.
Yadah FC suffered their first loss at Heart Stadium since the beginning of May with a 3-1 defeat to Tel One, having managed to defend their home in the last five matches.
CAPS United were the last team to win at Yadah when they came out with a narrow 1-0 win.
In Chisumbanje, GreenFuel managed to keep their unbeaten record at home after playing a goalless draw with former champions Chicken Inn.
