FORMER Warriors captain Willard Katsande has hinted at Yadah forward Khama Billiat coming out of international football retirement to help the Zimbabwe national team in their Group C Fifa World Cup qualifiers against Lesotho and South Africa next month.
The two matches will be played in South Africa with Zimbabwe “hosting” Lesotho at Orlando Stadium before travelling to Bloemfontein for an away clash against Bafana Bafana.
Billiat retired from international football in 2021 despite pleas for him to carry on.
Yadah owner Walter Magaya promised to persuade Billiat to come out of retirement when he signed the striker earlier this year.
Katsande, who played with Billiat in the Warriors as well as at Kaizer Chiefs, yesterday made the strong hint on his X account.
“Khama Billiat will be instrumental in our upcoming Fifa World Cup qualifiers against South Africa and Lesotho,” Katsande declared.

As a close friend and former team mate, Katsande might be privy to information that is yet to be disclosed.
Billiat started slowly at Yadah after joining following a long spell on the sidelines. He has started to show his class.
Zimbabwe are without a coach with Zifa in the process of appointing one.
Baltemar Brito led the team in their last two competitive matches against Rwanda and Nigeria. The two matches were played in Rwanda last year.
Norman Mapeza took the team to a four-nation friendly tournament in Malawi earlier this year.
While Brito was perceived the favourite and also popular with the fans, it looks like Zifa are looking elsewhere.
