CHICKEN Inn midfielder, Michael Charamba is on Tanzania football giants Simba SC’s radar after they called him for an assessment.
The speedy winger featured for the club in a friendly match against APR of Rwanda on Friday last week, playing the first half of the game as part of his assessment.
According to sources, the club want to have another look at the 2023 Soccer Star of the Year finalist before making up their mind.
“He did well in the 45 minutes he played, but the club wants to have another look at him. He will continue to train with the team, but we have no doubt that he will impress,” the source said.
Charamba could not be reached for comment yesterday.
His club Chicken Inn, however, said they are not aware of Charamba’s trip to Tanzania for the trials.

Pictures of the star donning a Simba SC shirt, however, circulated on social media over the weekend. The former Ngezi Platinum Stars star recently extended his stay with the Gamecocks by two more years.
Chicken Inn secretary general Tavengwa Hara said: "This is news to me. I’m hearing it for the first time from you. Officially, I don’t have anything or any invitation on my desk, inviting any of my players for trials. We don't have any player who is having trials in or outside the country."
Charamba had a splendid season with Chicken Inn last season, scoring 10 goals, just three shy of Golden Boot winner Takunda Benhura of Ngezi Platinum Stars.
The deadlocked player was deservedly voted among the 11 best performers of the season.
