Walter Musona and Panashe Mutimbanyoka are doubtful for FC Platinum’s Castle Lager Premier Soccer League clash with Herentals College at Mandava stadium today.
The platinum miners will also be without Kelvin Mangiza who suffered a head injury when they played away to Triangle last weekend.
Musona and Mutimbanyoka missed the team’s 1-0 triumph over Triangle on Sunday..
Despite the absentees, FC Platinum coach Norman Mapeza is hoping they can still fashion out a positive result playing at home.
“We have been training well after that win against Triangle. The unfortunate part came when Kelvin Mangiza got injured. We were all worried. Our thoughts were with him during the match. “I'm happy that he is recovering well,” Mapeza said.
He added that he expects a tough match against Herentals who are also using Mandava as their home ground.

“This one is more like a derby as you are aware that Herentals are using Mandava as their home. We hope its going to be an exciting match. They have been doing well since they started playing here,” he said.
“There are a few guys who are still out. We have been hit by injuries in the last three or four matches.
“In our squad that went to Triangle, Walter [Musona] wasn't there, Panashe [Mutimbanyoka] wasn't there.
“So we are monitoring them. Walter is not yet 100% fit. We have Teguru who just limped off in training. Innocent has started training but we can not say he is fit to play 90 minutes.
“We are still monitoring some of our guys but it’s the nature of the game. What is important is to go with the same hunger, same desire, and same mentality.”
The platinum miners are fifth on the log standings with 37 points on their tally, eight behind leaders Ngezi Platinum.
Anything is still possible and the Zvishavane side still fancy their chances in the race for the title.
Having blown hot and cold especially at the beginning of the second half of the season, they won their last two matches, beating Caps United and Triangle.
They picked a plausible 11 points in their last five games when they beat Highlanders, Caps United and Triangle, while sharing spoils with Craneborne Bullets and Bulawayo Chiefs.
