BULAWAYO City coach Farai Tawachera says his team’s fate will be decided in their next three matches where they date Chicken Inn, Bulawayo Chiefs and Dynamos in must-win fixtures.
All the three fixtures will be played in Bulawayo, their home, and Tawachera is confident that his men will rise to the occasion to preserve their Premiership status.
At this point, six rounds of fixtures remain before the season ends, with the Bulawayo side sitting in the dreaded zone on 16th position with 24 points on their tally.
The City Fathers must win at least four of the remaining six fixtures to have a mathematical advantage in the relegation mix, if other results go their way.
“We played well against FC Platinum and despite of that single mistake I am confident that we can win the next assignments,” Tawachera said.
“We have two derbies against Chicken Inn and Bulawayo Chiefs and then Dynamos, but looking at the way we performed against the top team, then I can confidently declare that we do fear anyone.
“Personally, I am not looking at how others are performing because I want to avoid pressure, which I believe always makes footballers lose focus.
“We take each game as it comes with more hope of winning everything that remains in front of us.”
They lost their most recent game 1-0 at the hands of FC Platinum. And as they prepare to take on Chicken Inn, Tawachera is confident that his men will slay the giants.
Chicken Inn and Dynamos are all but fighting for second, having conceded that the title was now out of their reach.
