Speaking at the launch on Monday night, Coca-Cola Zimbabwe senior operations and marketing manager Noma Halimana said the competition would reward consumers and soccer lovers in an authentic, vibrant Brazilian samba spirit.

“Before we cast our eyes towards the World Cup in Brazil, we are particularly excited about this Soccer Samba promotion in Zimbabwe,” Halima said.

“This promotion will be our opportunity to take the energy and passion of each of our consumers and share it with millions of football fans around the world.”

People will be expected to collect bottle caps and ring pulls to win prizes from the participating retail outlets.

Meanwhile, The World is Ours, performed by singer David Correy and Brazilian percussion Troupe Monobloco, is Coca-Cola’s global 2014 Fifa World Cup anthem.

The international football fiesta is scheduled to be held in Brazil beginning in June.
