The two riddims, My Boo and Boss Ndiani, feature some of the top artistes from across all stables in Harare and Chitungwiza. In an interview, Chillspot’s DJ Fantan said the two riddims are fresh sound in Zimdancehall. “Even the way artistes are ridding the riddims is clearly different. My Boo riddim is further emphasis on the fast rising reggae side of Zimdancehall DJ Fantan,” said.
Dancehall sensation Soul Jah Love has proved his worth on the conscious My Boo riddim with his song Usanete. The song encourages people to keep pushing for what they believe in despite hardships. In the song, the talented chanter says it gets darkest just before the sun rises.
Usanete is already proving popular in the streets and comes a few months after Soul Jah Love released his award winning song Kuponda Nhamo on Chillspot’s Xmas Money riddim. Soul Jah Love however, appears to have no real competition on the My Boo riddim as his arch rival Seh Calaz is not on the riddim.
Other top artistes Killer T, Kinnah, Winky D, Snipper and Freeman are also on the riddim. So far, Dangerzone’s Jay C has recorded a love a song called Babe Get Ready on the My Boo riddim. Tokwe Murkosi hit-maker Ras Caleb and Magical also recorded their songs Ngatiti Nzvee and One Man Plan respectively on the 29 track riddim album.

The second riddim, Boss Ndiani also features Soul Jah Love’s Handimbovazeza, a song in which he brags about his lyrical prowess and talent in general. In the song, Soul Jah Love says even the hot girls ululate when they see him despite the fact that he was at some point homeless, apparently responding to Seh Calaz’s disses, that normally focus on Soul Jah Love’s humble beginnings.
Boss Ndiani is a fast pace riddim that promises to send ragga lovers to dancefloors. Jay C did a song called Handimiswe in which he promises to keep churning out hot tunes to his fans.
The Chitungwiza Fire president Ricky Fire dropped another dance tune called Hunyanzvi on the Boss Ndiyani riddim. Other popular artistes on the Boss Ndiani riddim are DJ Smylie, Cello Culture, Terminator, Qounfuzed Princo Spice, Ras Caleb, Ras Pompy and Celcious. T Makwikwi’s party song Kwaita Prezha promises to be one of the biggest songs on the Boss Ndiani riddim.
