AT LEAST 12 people were feared dead while several others, mostly Zimbabweans, were injured when a Harare-bound King Lion bus veered off the road and overturned in Kafue, Zambia, on Saturday.

Bus owner Christina Taranhike said the accident occurred at the 40km peg from Lusaka when the driver lost control after a tyre burst.
The injured were rushed to Kafue Hospital while others were transferred to UTC Hospital in Lusaka.
It was not immediately clear how many passengers were on the bus.
Taranhike said the bus had left Zambia at 9:30am on Saturday heading to Harare.
