HARARE, Mar. 24 (NewsDay Live) – The National Employment Council for the Agricultural Industry in Zimbabwe (NEC Agriculture), which has translated its Principal Collective Bargaining Agreement (Statutory Instrument 41 of 2022) into two local vernacular languages, breaking down barriers and ensuring that vital information on employment conditions is accessible to every agricultural worker, was one of the top winners at the Zimbabwe CEOs Network Professional awards.

With 10 fully operational provincial offices across the country, NEC Agriculture has prioritised direct engagement and accessibility, bringing its services closer to farmers and agricultural workers in even the most remote areas. 

The organisation is committed to efficiency and accessibility is exemplified by its ground breaking Electronic Case Management System.

The initiative underscores NEC Agriculture’s dedication to empowering all stakeholders, regardless of language or location and the chief executive officer David Madyausiku was named Platinum Award winner in the Top CEO Awards category.

Speaking on the sidelines of Zimbabwe CEOs Network Professional Excellence and Young CEO awards held  in Harare last Friday, Madyausiku said agriculture, the backbone of Zimbabwe’s economy, was more than an industry, adding that it is the foundation of livelihoods and a critical driver of the nation’s development aspirations.
