PRESIDENT Emmerson Mnangagwa will today go on his month-long annual vacation and will only be back in early February.
Acting Chief Secretary in the Office of the President and Cabinet made the announcement in a statement yesterday.
“His Excellency the President, Dr ED Mnangagwa, starts his month-long annual vacation tomorrow, December 31, 2024,” Charamba said.
“He plans to spend his vacation in the country and will be available for commitments requiring his personal attention, both as State President and as Chairman of the Southern Africa Development Community.”
He added: “While he is on leave, the two Vice-Presidents, Hon KCD [Kembo Campbell Duggish] Mohadi and Hon Dr CGDN [Constantino Guveya Dominic Nyikadzino] Chiwenga, will stand in for him in that order.”
Charamba said Mohadi would starting duty today up until January 19, afterwhich Chiwenga will take over until Mnangagwa “resumes duty in early February”.
