TWO Harare men were on Monday dragged before magistrate Dennis Mangosi over the murder of a shoplifting suspect.
The accused, Henry Nyamupanedengu (32) and Trust Mudada (30), were remanded in custody to December 13 for allocation of a trial date.
They were represented by Moffat Makuvatsine.
It is the State's case that on July 3 this year, the now-deceased Shingirai Emberson and her alleged accomplices broke into a Kamba Investments shop in Hatcliffe and were caught stealing some groceries.
The court heard that Nyamupanedengu allegedly assaulted the duo under their feet using a baton stick and in the evening of the same day Mudada had a fight with the now deceased and her husband.
After the fight, Emberson was briefly hospitalized and discharged but died at home two days later.
