The Agritex provincial director for Matebeleland North province, Dumisani Nyoni, has died.
His deputy Thulani Ndlovu confirmed his death today saying he passed on on Monday.
“He died yesterday (Monday) in Bulawayo, he was not well for some time,” Ndlovu said.
“This is a big loss to the province. We learnt a lot from him. He was the voice of the province, always fighting hard for the province.”
He said most of the programmes in the province were spearheaded by him, adding that they are now in the process of harvesting wheat and that some farmers have started preparations for the Pfumvudza/Intwasa programme.
