FIVE armed robbers reportedly raided a security company in Gaza, Chipinge, on Wednesday and made off with US$111 411 and ZAR 1 281 320, NewsDay has heard.

According to police, the suspects allegedly intercepted the security company’s patrol vehicle in the town, disarmed the guards and robbed them of their uniforms.

The robbers reportedly put on the guards’ uniforms and drove to the company’s offices where they attacked the duty officers  and stole US$111 411 and ZAR 1 281 320.00. 

Meanwhile, police in Kadoma are appealing for information which may lead to the arrest of Thomas Chisale (30) in connection with the death of Munyaradzi Kaienga, who was murdered on September 3 at Hamburg Compound in Patchway. It is reported that Chisale allegedly stabbed Kaienga on the neck and stomach with an unknown object during a scuffle.
