“Sandile Dlamini (27) of Nketa was driving a Honda Fit along Nketa Drive with six passengers on board and had a head-on collision with Sipho Magutshwa (29) of Nketa, Bulawayo, who was driving a Nissan Elgrand with two passengers on board,” Ncube said.
“The circumstances leading to the accident are that Dlamini tried to overtake another vehicle without due care, resulting in a head-on collision with Magutshwa who was driving along the same road due north. We urge motorists, especially Honda Fit mshikashika drivers, not to overload their vehicles and exercise extreme caution on our roads so as to avoid unnecessary loss of life. We also warn these pirate taxis not to compete on the roads as they put people’s lives at risk,” he added.
