SOUTH AFRICA-BASED Zimbabwean founder of Becky Casting Agency, Bekezela Dube “Becky” said they were working on a drama series, that would showcase Zimbabwean cultures, to be screened on national television station, ZTV.
In an interview with NewsDay Life & Style, Becky said the series would combine all cultures and feature an array of talents.
“We are going to do national auditions across the country and make sure that each province gets a representative to represent their cultures in the series. The dream is to bring everybody back and watch ZBC-tv without discriminating against any language or culture”, she said.
Becky said they were looking for advertisers and funders as the project required a firm budget.
“I have not lost love with my home country. My dreams for the entertainment industry is one of the best sellers of destination Zimbabwe.

“As I love to invest in my home country, l have started uplifting talented people like Madlela, Madam Boss, Zvuba and Lorrain Guyo just to name but a few,” she said.
Through her company, Becky serves as a “middle woman” for production companies by identifying the talent they need for various roles. The agency specialises in different genres such as theatre performers, commercial actors, film and television show actors.
Over the past years, the agency has casted for numerous Mzansi Magic and SABC soapies and telenovelas such as Muvhango, Isibaya, and Duburn Gen.
Born and bred in Matobo, Matabeleland South province, Becky relocated to South Africa 15 years ago and started as a hairdresser before she grew to become a star she is today through hard work and determination.
