BULAWAYO, Apr. 9, (NewsDayLive) - The Bulawayo Piano Fest is geared to set the supposed “mid-year holiday” mood in motion this weekend at the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair Main Arena, organisers have said.

Put together by Night Sky promoters, the latest edition of the event will showcase the highest quality of amapiano stars from South Africa and Zimbabwe, including one of the genre's pioneers DJ Maphorisa who is also regarded as an SA music industry godfather.

One of the organisers, Jordan Dube, told NewsDay Life&Style that all pre-show preparations had been done and they are now waiting for the day.

“As far as putting things in order we are done, logistically."

We always put our best foot forward so that we give our audiences a fulfilling show. We don't want to shortchange people, they will get their money’s worth," said Dube.

"We have crowd favourites including Phori (DJ Maphorisa), Leemckrazy who was in the city not so long ago, Scotts Maphuma, Ricky Lenyora and Uncool MC."

He added that it would be a “safe space” for people to relax and enjoy a blend of SA and local Amapiano.

“We have wrapped up the first quarter of the year and while people take a break and breathe, this is a great platform to socialise and relax with friends. As we always ensure that we have tight security, yet again we guarantee safety,” Dube said.
