ALL is set for Jamaican legend Burning Spear’s One People Africa Tour, which kicks off the southern African episode tonight with a show at Glamis Arena in Harare.

Euphoria gripped southern Africa when Burning Spear, born Winston Rodney, announced his arrival in South Africa last Monday before he flew to Zimbabwe two days later, where he was welcomed by an ecstatic crowd comprising local conscious reggae fans and the Rastafarian movement in Zimbabwe at Robert Gabriel Mugabe International Airport.

“Zimbabwe, you really touched I man today. I man can’t wait to represent on Friday. I also want to give away five tickets. More information to come! Blessings Zimbabwe,” Burning Spear posted on his Facebook page on Wednesday evening.

Earlier on, the African Teacher hit maker had promised Zimbabweans a good show.

Speaking to journalists at a Press conference on Wednesday, Burning Spear’s representatives said the One People Africa Tour was inspired by the musician’s love for Africa.

“Burning Spear has a lot of love for Africa and the tour is about the love he has for Africa,” one of the representatives said.

Yesterday, Burning Spear and his band had a tight schedule, visiting local radio and television stations for interviews before touring the Rastafarian communities, including the Heritage Village at the Museum of African Liberation in Warren Park, Harare.

Burning Spear will also perform in Johannesburg, South Africa, Lusaka (Zambia), Lilongwe (Malawi) and Nairobi in Kenya under the One People Africa Tour.
