BULAWAYO-BASED hip-hop artiste, Bleu Ice, has dropped visuals for his second single titled Bazovuma.
Speaking to NewsDay Life & Style, Bleu Ice said he released the music video to silence doubters of his music.
“I released the music video on Wednesday. The story behind Bazovuma is that I had to prove a point that I am back in the game. A lot of people were underestimating my craft and the type of genre that I do,” he said.
Born Ngqabutho Admire Mpala (22), Bleu Ice is an upcoming rapper, composer and choreographer from Nkulumane 5 in Bulawayo. He has released seven songs, two of them are singles while five are an EPs.
The seven songs include Asphakameni, Nkalakatha, Umhlaba and Bazovuma, among others. Bazovuma is his second single he released in June this year.
He indicated that the music video marks a bold comeback for him as he felt underestimated by critics and fans alike.
“They viewed me as a wreck rapper, so I had to pull up my socks to be back on the map again, Bazovuma is known for its catchy beat and thought-provoking lyrics, which address social media issues and everyday life experiences,” he said.
Bleu Ice entered the music industry after high school in 2019 after he met different artistes like Djy Clxstoes who helped to push his music.
He also met Beyond Africa Record label producer Siya_Mdumisa whom he worked with from 2019 as he produced his first song, Phakamani to date.
During his musical journey he met Yung Freezah and Cejee Tellem, who taught and shared their knowledge with him.
