ZIMBABWEAN hip-hop artiste Saintfloew has taken a huge step by signing a distribution deal with Virgin Music Group, one of the world’s most renowned music companies.

The deal is meant to amplify Saintfloew’s reach on a global scale, a milestone in his career, according to NashTV, which manages the artiste.

Virgin Music is a global record label founded in 2022, owned by Universal Music Group and is known for supporting independent artistes and labels worldwide, bringing a wealth of experience and resources.

NashTV issued a statement on Tuesday announcing the development, which revealed that the deal includes a substantial signing-on fee and several exciting collaborations.

“Virgin Music Group, known for supporting independent artistes and labels worldwide, brings a wealth of experience and resources that will help Saintfloew push his music to new heights,” the statement read.

Saintfloew already has several collaborations lined up under this new deal, with the first project being the highly-anticipated yet-to-be-named album set to be launched on October 12 at Alex Sports Club, Harare.

Said Saintfloew: “I’m excited to be partnering Virgin Music Group. I believe that this is the beginning of a great relationship.”

Born Tawanda Mambo, the man behind the Silas Mavende hit has joined other African artistes such as Rema, Reekado Banks, Darkoo and Zimbabwean Asaph.

Following this, Saintfloew also becomes one of the few Zimbabweans to sign with an international label.

Gareth Wilson, A&R at Virgin Music Group, said: “Today is a special day as we welcome Saintfloew to the Virgin Music Group family. He is a phenomenal artiste with a very bright future ahead of him and we are ready to do our bit in taking his Zimbabwean magic to the world.”
