Undoubtedly one of the best gospel artistes in the country, Dorcas, as she is affectionately known in the music circles, has been raising the musical crest with each release.
Her 2023 album, Mhanza Haisekwi, which features Zimbabwe’s sungura music perfectionist, Alick Macheso, propelled her to the pinnacle of success.
This year, she never put her foot off the accelerator pedal, as she unleashed another album, Mvere Dzabvepi, solidifying her dominance of the gospel music arena.
In an interview yesterday, Moyo said she was grateful.
“This is one of the greatest honours ever conferred upon me. I am truly excited and very much humbled by the honour,” she said.
“The mere mention of my name by such a prestigious platform is an unbelievable reality. It is my first nomination by CLIMA and that only is motivation enough. Landing the gong will be a bonus.”
Moyo urged her fans in Zimbabwe to vote for her.
“As DM Music, I am humbly requesting all my fellow Zimbabweans to do the best they can in voting for me,” she said.
The fans can vote on www.climaawards.org.
Voting started on July 1 and will end on August 31.
