INTERNATIONALLY ACCLAIMED Imbube/Iscathamiya group, Black Umfolosi, has promised a memorable show on November 4 to celebrate its 40 years in the music industry.
Black Umfolosi has made its name through touring around the globe appearing at private and public multiple events.
Speaking to the NewsDay Life & Style, a group member Luchi Shiki, who has been with the band since 2018 said the concert will feature a surprise guest.
“For a group that has been representing Zimbabwean culture to the world for over four decades, and continues to do so, we have decided to bring it home and for that, we will have two incredible opening acts Katso and me playing with a live band,” she noted.
“Since last year’s tour, we have been able to perform at multiple events. We used this strategy to save all the best stuff for our November show.”
She said they were looking for partners for the big celebration concert.

“So far, our biggest challenge is sponsorship, partnerships and collaborations with the corporate community. It is surprising that few businesses have stepped in to mark this event of the year, though there is still time and we are still open to working with brands that would like to work with us,” she said.
Early this year, Black Umfolosi made a surprise performance for the few Zimbabweans who had gathered at the Capital Conference room at the imposing Torino Lamborghini International Convention in Sharm El Sheikh in Egypt.
