The Sadc elections observer mission raised concerns over delays in the voting process, especially in urban Harare, Bulawayo and Manicaland.
“These organisations do vital human rights work monitoring if elections are free and fair. Attempts to intimidate them are very worrying,” Lawlor said.
Citizens Coalition for Change party spokesperson Promise Mkwananzi accused the police of double standards.

According to the report, the EU EOM met journalists in Midlands and gave them whisky and fuel coupons among other freebies to tarnish the credibility of the country.

These violations were recorded in Mutare, Harare, Mudzi, Muzarabani, Chitungwiza, Epworth, Mbare, Glenview, Hopley, Chiadzwa, Buhera, Shamva, Mt Darwin, Rushinga and Mazowe.
78-year-old Gwinyai is the younger brother of the late former politician. He was elected party leader in 2017, after a “seven-year mourning period” following the death of the UANC founder in 2010.
