ACTIVISTS that advocate for women’s participation in politics have raised concerns over low representation of women in key political positions since the country attained independence in 1980.
According to Zimstat, women constitute majority of the population -51% (Zimstat 2012) and also constitute the majority of the registered voters according to the Zimbabwe Electoral Commission.
